WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Movie theaters have been closed for quite some time due to COVID-19, but UNCW is doing its part by showing films starting next month.
UNCW Offices of the Arts, Cucalorus, StarNews, and WHQR Public Media are teaming up to bring drive-in movies back to Wilmington.
They will be featuring a movie every Friday night starting in July.
Movies for this month will include Iron Man III, Coco, Miss Juneteenth, and The Karate Kid.
The movies will begin at 8:30 p.m. in the Kenan Auditorium parking lot.
It’s $28 per carload and tickets go on sale at noon on July 1.
